Australian-born, New York-based pop singer Hanssøn makes music to soundtrack the witching hour. Her music can be mysterious and inspiring at the same time, and you might just find it teaches you things about yourself you never would have known. As an Aquarius, she’s not afraid to march to the beat of her own drum, from Australia to London, and eventually finding her way to New York City’s music scene.
A lot of Hanssøn’s life is influenced by practicing astrology. Aquarians are rebellious spirits, and her rebellious energy is off the charts. If you ask Hanssøn to stick to the traditional wisdom of the music industry, she’ll do exactly the opposite, and that’s the way she likes it. Her lyrics pack a serious punch, and they’re a time capsule of what’s going on in her world, as well as the wider world around her.
Along her way, she’s found some incredible collaborators that have encouraged her slightly off-kilter approach to music and art. NYC producer David Sisko spearheaded her debut “Colours of the Fall”, and continued collaboration on the follow up project PHASES where she released a single every full and new moon of an eclipse cycle.
Hanssøn has always looked at things a little bit differently and draws from her lived experiences to turn a moment of personal reflection/self-discovery into a pop track that’ll change your perspective on the world.
